What is Singapore Airlines Cancellation and Refund Policy?

How much is the penalty for cancelling Singapore Airlines ticket?

Can I get a full refund on cancelling a Singapore Airlines ticket?

Singapore Airlines doesn’t assure you a full refund if you cancel voluntarily. All fare classes require you to pay a charge. The lower fare classes will typically require you to pay a higher Singapore Airlines flight cancellation fee. The fee is deducted from the refund. Do passengers get refunded in cash on Singapore Airlines?

Singapore Airlines will refund you in the original form of payment. If you paid in US dollars, the refund will also be in US dollars and similarly for other currencies. When you cancel Award tickets booked with Miles, the loyalty points will be redeposited in your account. This will require you to pay a redeposit fee in addition to Singapore Airlines cancellation fee. Here are a few options you may get on the airline.

  • The airline will give you the various alternatives you have in addition to a cash refund - Vouchers, credits or any other form of compensation in place of cash refund.

How quick can I expect my refund to be on Singapore Airlines?

Singapore Airlines takes roughly 7 to 20 days to process the refund. Since refund is in the original form of payment, the refund will be credited to the credit/debit card used to purchase the ticket.
